That's why we're determined to create work that matters, why our team is populated with individuals who want make the world a better place, why we think beyond production.

We commission and produce our own content - Nowadays Originals - providing kit, time, budget and support to our team when they’ve got a film they want to get off the ground.

ASK AWAY THURSDAY

Every couple of months we hold our Ask Away Thursday event at Nowadays HQ, offering an opportunity to those at the start of their career in production a space to get advice and network.

CREATIVE MENTORING

Over the years we have taken part in creative mentoring schemes run by organisations like the APA, Four Corners and The Shoreditch Trust, helping young people from the places we work, train towards a career in the creative industry.

CHARITY GIVING

We are committed to donating 2.5% of our annual profits to charities that our team help to choose.

In the past 3 years this has included support for the National Deaf Children's Society, the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, Mermaids, The Riverwalk School and The Malaria Consortium.

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

We are taking an active approach to becoming a more inclusive business.

This includes signing up to the APA and BECTU Diversity Action Plan and consulting with a D&I expert to evaluate our goals and potential roadblocks, doing Unconscious Bias training, attending underrepresented talent networking events and evolving our recruitment process to better attract a diverse range of applicants.

We are applying these same principles when it comes to finding the people we work with behind the camera. In the past few years we have worked hard to find, vet and work with more women in crew positions that have traditionally been dominated by men.
